# beehiiv post sent notifications on your phone > Get a low-priority push notification when a beehiiv post goes out, with a button to open it on the web. - Company: beehiiv (https://www.justpush.io/recipes/beehiiv) - Event: `post.sent` (post.sent) - Tags: Email marketing, Content & publishing, Newsletters - Install: https://studio.justpush.io/recipes/beehiiv/post-sent - Web page: https://www.justpush.io/recipes/beehiiv/post-sent ## Setup 1. Click Install in Studio and sign in. The recipe is added to your account and you get a personal webhook URL. 2. In beehiiv, go to Settings > Webhooks and add a new webhook (Scale plan or higher). 3. Paste your webhook URL (shown in Studio after install) as the endpoint URL. 4. Select the post.sent event only and save. 5. Select only `post.sent`. Scheduling a post sends `post.scheduled` first; this recipe ignores it and pushes when the post actually goes out. 6. beehiiv delivers webhooks through Svix and signs them (`svix-signature`), but JustPush doesn't check that signature yet, so keep your endpoint URL private. Webhooks need the **Scale** plan or higher. ## Code Studio calls `handleRequest(request)` with the incoming webhook (`{ method, headers, body, query, raw }`) and sends the message object it returns. Returning `null` sends nothing. ```js // beehiiv โ†’ post.sent // Fires when a post (newsletter issue) is sent or published on your beehiiv publication. // Docs: https://developers.beehiiv.com/webhooks/post/sent // beehiiv sends plain strings; treat blanks as missing. function text(value) { return typeof value === "string" && value.trim() ? value.trim() : null } // Only link to real http(s) URLs. function link(url, cta) { return typeof url === "string" && /^https?:\/\//.test(url) ? [{ cta, url }] : [] } function handleRequest(request) { const body = request.body && typeof request.body === "object" ? request.body : {} const post = body.data && typeof body.data === "object" ? body.data : null // Guard: only sent posts, so other beehiiv events on this integration stay quiet. if (body.event_type !== "post.sent" || !post) { console.log(`Ignoring beehiiv "${body.event_type ?? "unknown"}" event`) return null } // The email subject is what readers see; fall back to the web title. const subject = text(post.subject_line) ?? text(post.title) ?? "Your post" const authors = Array.isArray(post.authors) ? post.authors.map(text).filter(Boolean) : [] const audience = text(post.audience) const details = [ authors.length ? `by ${authors.join(", ")}` : null, audience && audience !== "free" && audience !== "all" ? `${audience} audience` : null, ].filter(Boolean) return { title: "๐Ÿ“จ Post sent", message: `"${subject}"` + (details.length ? ` โ€” ${details.join(" ยท ")}` : ""), topic: "beehiiv", priority: -1, // Low โ€” confirmation that your own send went out buttons: link(post.web_url, "View post"), } } ``` ## beehiiv post.sent webhook payload (sample) ```json { "uid": "evt_00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000003", "data": { "id": "post_00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000", "slug": "issue-42-calmer-inboxes", "title": "Issue 42: Calmer inboxes", "status": "confirmed", "authors": [ "Ada Lovelace" ], "created": 1790600000, "web_url": "https://example.beehiiv.com/p/issue-42-calmer-inboxes", "audience": "free", "platform": "both", "subtitle": "Four habits that stuck", "content_tags": [ "productivity" ], "preview_text": "Plus one tool we stopped using", "publish_date": 1790670000, "split_tested": false, "subject_line": "Issue 42: four habits for a calmer inbox", "thumbnail_url": "https://example.com/images/issue-42.png", "displayed_date": 1790670000, "hidden_from_feed": false, "email_capture_popup": true, "enforce_gated_content": false }, "event_type": "post.sent", "event_timestamp": 1790670000 } ``` ## FAQ ### Does this work on iPhone and Android?
